Since I can remember, my friends and colleagues have asked for my advice when making decisions, suffering from stress, having trouble with their partner, or were facing challenges in their career. Being able to help has always made me happy and content. There are situations and moments in life when we need someone to turn to for advice.
I did that, too, because I know what it feels like when doubts and fears start sabotaging your life. I know what it feels like to start avoiding things instead of handling them because you are scared. I know what it feels like to be disappointed in yourself. And I know what it feels like to be a shy person. But I also know that whatever holds you back, be it fear, doubts or circumstances, there is always a way out. I’ve been there.
Today, I live the life I always wished for, because I have learned to handle the things that make me feel weak or afraid. The multiple obstacles life put in my way have taught me that only challenges make you grow in the end, no matter how uncomfortable they make you feel. Eventually, you have to make a choice if you want to live a self-determined life or leave the driver’s seat to your limiting beliefs and negative emotions.
I have always been interested in learning how to overcome the fears keeping you from living the life you want and becoming your true self finally. It can be a hard nut to crack and an adventurous journey, but it is possible if you try. All it needs sometimes is a little push in the right direction to jump-start your courage. I was always impressed how getting another perspective on things can make you feel better immediately and provide you with new ideas.
